Playing Sims in Real Life!

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

If only it's all in a click of a button and a CTRL+Z away! Alas...

Guess what I have been doing the past few days... Crazy me!

I was relocating furnitures in my living room. You see, our TV cabinet was sitting in the middle of the hall for more than a year now. We have collectively decided some time ago that the cabinet should move to one side, as there was wasted space on the left and right side of the hall. So, I waited for one long week when mum was not around (to avoid her bossy foreman side) and also has to coincide with me being in the mood to work on it... hehehe...

So, this was how my hall looked like after we moved the cabinet to the left (coz all the cables and wires are conveniently that side of the room). Notice how MESSY the area was! Not fit for living! Hehe... The TV was blardey heavy! We (my sis and I - she was commenting I was crazy again and again) had to clear out the little trinkets on both sides of the glass cabinet, lift the TV down, move the entire cabinet to the left side of the hall, lift the TV back up (it took us about 10 tries - the TV was really blardey heavy!!!), and reconnect all the wires! That was a hassle coz I kinda forgot which wire went to which and ended up not having any blasted volume from the amplifier! Took us many failed attempts and frustration and cursed words before my sis managed to get it right! Phew! At least I won't be missing my TVB drama the next day.

Then I started moving all the other furniture around. The 2 mini armchairs were relocated. KLIPPAN sofa was pushed to the wall. MELDAL day bed was taken out from storage (it was underutilised in the utility room) and given a proper exposure in the hall. Then it was off to bed!

The next day, I was away so could not continue.

The next night, carpets were laid out properly, the breakfast and console table were happy to have found a space in the living room, and did some cleaning in the corners.

The next night, placed back all the trinkets into the glass cabinets. That task alone took the entire night! Gawd!

So finally, last night, everything was spick and span to my standard! Haha!

Pictures!!!

This is the view from the front door. So now my hall has a TV area and a sitting area! Whee!

This is the sitting area. Only for people to chit-chat and lepak and won't disturb the TV-watching people! Haha!

The MELDAL day bed! Was supposed to be in my room but plans changed. Sigh! Then I dumped some of my plushies on the bed so it looks more 'cuddly'! Haha!

This is the view from one corner of the hall. That's the front entrance, and on the left is the sliding door to the courtyard. Hmmm... I think I'm happy with the outcome!

What's on for tonight? Need to clear out the dining area, as a lot of the 'rubbish' was temporarily dumped there during the living room pimping session.

Adios!

Mario Mushroom!

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

It was an eventful weekend. Uncle Sai Hong and Aunty Jillian made a trip up the highlands and invited mum, sis and me along. Last minute, decided to invite Uncle Sai Yoke too. So the -ahem- room -ahem- became -ahem- more -ahem- crowded lor... Was there 3 days 2 nights.

Asked Ms Lee if she has plans the same weekend and asked her to go up as well with her mum and AJ (which I was so sure will be a sure-go!) - hehehe... So, we met later in the evening for some Gashapon moments, laff moments and Starbucks moment... Read all about it here lah!

Gashapon! My latest weird and expensive once-in-a-while obsession. There were rows of Gashapon machines in the arcade and as usual, whenever I pass by any machines, will just peek through to look see if there's anything interesting I can get. Mind you, it's expensive so try not to go all crazy like I did. Each turn will cost 2 or 3 tokens, depending on the value of the toy, and each token is RM4. The trick is, if you did not get the particular toy you wanted in the first place, you will try and try and try and try again and again and again till you get it (well, me anyway!)...

Well, what was it that I got so mushy about?

It was the Mushroon from the Mario game! You remember the red mushroom which let Mario grow big when eaten? Yups! That was it!

All my bubbly capsules of Gashapon toys.

Sneak peek inside!

Once released from the capsule.

Let me justify myself by showing you what I meant that it was darn cute!

Cute kan? Well, by the time I got the red mushroom, I collected the entire SET! Waheee!

And these cuties double up as a bell charm! Hear it ring when you jiggle it!

Bogged Blog

Friday, September 12, 2008

Yeah... if you have seen my status, you would know what it was the past 2 days. Ironically, check out the date! Phew!

Today especially, was like a 24 hours 100 meter sprint race the whole day. Phew - got to calm down a bit about 7pm (hence blogging about being bogged)...

Hopefully, if it all the plan works out beautifully, this sprint will result in something AWESOME (Jeff's favourite quote) come next January.

So, will be up with the clouds donating money to GH (no - I don't mean General Hospital) and getting freaked out like in the movie Final Destination 3 - omitting the dying part.

Planning to get the Proton Persona SE in Blue Haze colour but not sure if I can cope with all the other bills I'm footing. Depressed. I heart the car leh...

Plans to give birth to a Cool Bear Workstation toy is well underway. Just surveyed the price of the toy, and clothes, and shoes, and all the extra accessories. I'm probably gonna spend about RM150 or more... And my newborn will have a birth certificate!

So I have chosen the monkey.

And these would probably the clothes (found on website) but my visit to Parkson Sunway Pyramid just now displayed even more. So I will slowly ponder what my newborn will have to wear.

The pink outfit on the bear looks ladylike don't you think?

Anyway peeps - HAPPY WEEKEND AHEAD!

Mel and I had a haircut!

This time - not same style. Hehehe...

I nearly went for a bob-cut but I did not have short hair for too long, so didn't want to try my luck to a bad hair day (or week, month, year)!

Luckily I didn't!

Coz Mel did hers bobbed style!

Backtrack reading

Saturday, September 06, 2008

I was bored. So, decided to backtrack ALL my blog entries from the first ever post. And I have to admit, my English is not that great as I thought, not that I was trying to act all professor-ish and all... Lazy to correct the dumb grammar mistakes, spelling errors etc. Leaving it there coz no one's perfect.

Anyways, was reading this when I decided that I will be getting this for myself come this 28th!

Stuff-it-yourself-plushies!

First, you choose the plushie/character...

Stuff it with cotton, etc, stuffs with a special machine (no photo) to fill 'er up!

Then of course, clothes shopping.

And shoe-shopping. SOOOOO cute!!!

Here's a sample of the final product.

More friends here...

The best part is, each plushie will have its own BIRTH CERTIFICATE! How cool is that?

I am so getting one for myself this year!

Tuesday, September 02, 2008

What was the week all about?

Sun, sea, work, friends and family --- all into one.

Hung out with a dear friend a bit. Lotsa catching up to do...

I hope she meant me up there... hehehe...

At the beach with Jess... it was para gliding after that - OMG! Wanna go do again?

Then it was a 12 hour train ride to Singapore - never to be done again unless I somehow go gila and wanna do it again... It was a quick trip down south and back to KL again. Very tired!

Don't be fooled with our jolly faces. This was taken 12 hours before the trip! Hehe!

Dinner was at Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. Here's to the newlyweds!

Congratulations cousin and cousin-in-law!

One for the album!

The next day, before taking the bus back to KL, cam-whored with my cousin's woogies!

Hi Scruffy! Rufus is running down there somewhere... Hihihi...

Now? Back to work la! What you think leh?
