Besides over-eating and collecting ang paus, as well as 'donation' of money going around, this year we managed to go out as a group and sing our lungs out at the latest karaoke joint in town! Lucky my cousin works here so we can really go crazy!

The eve of Chinese New Year usually starts with prayers to "Ah Kong" with food offerings. Then the burning ritual of billions of billions and billions of hell bank notes for "Ah Kong's" annual spending 'money'.

The annual tradition continues (before the actual family reunion dinner) with the hungry people ravishing the "siew yoke" and "lap cheong" before going home for dinner.

Then, it's "table-game" for the guys and whatever else for the ladies. Maybe lining up for the famous "chee cheong fun" later tonight.

I was washing my mug when the chipped rim just made the mug fall apart and cut my hand. Pretty deep cut but I managed to bandage it quickly without fainting.

A pretty good excuse to avoid any housework this CNY! Haha!
