From London to Paris and back to REALITY (Part 3)

Ok. I hope that this will be the last installment of my London - Paris trip. Phew! So, from London, we took the Eurostar to Paris... all in 2 hours!

Mini UJ enjoying his Eurostar ride...

We stayed (shit I forgot the name of the place) which was near the river and also central to almost everything Paris... the next time we come to Paris, will look for accommodation around this area too...

The river... nais...

The first evening we arrived, we walked along the river banks... a very nice place to just stroll along and have a picnic, or even just having wine with friends... in the cool crisp air...

Love carvings made into a nice tree art, but kelian lor the tree...

Wanted to go to the Lourve that day (as it was a free Sunday) but by the time we got there it was already closed from entering... so we moved on to Notre Dame instead. Promised Boo that we will go to the Lourve the next day lah, even though need to pay for it.

The Lourve - Remember this from the Da Vinci Code movie?

I noticed from visits to St. Paul's Cathedral (in London) and also at the Lourve, they have all replaced the curators to digital... although it's pretty impressive (St. Paul uses iPod Touch and Lourve uses the Nintendo DS XL) it then makes it impersonal as opposed to someone explaining to you in detail, especially if the guide does not give any additional guide.

The super hi-tech Lourve Guide!

The next day was the rest of the Paris must-do sightseeing... and of course, the infamous Eiffel Tower! But we did not go up this time, for the interest of time. In my checklist the next time we come!

Standing majestically amongst greens and blues...

Mini UJ trying its best to terrorise the tower! Epic fail!

Caught this drama ad when we were at Champ de Elysees

We also took this opportunity to be like all other tourists and love locks suckers, to have our padlock "locked" onto this famous Pont des Arts bridge.

Lotsa lurve...

So, we "locked" our love - apparently lah! :D

Our lock dressed in pink! :)

Well, our stay in Paris was short. Too short to go to every tourist spot and spend more time exploring. The next time, we gonna spend a longer time in Paris doing things we never got to do the first time round.

And so we close this three-post chapter and it's now back to the harsh reality of life and work and other stuff.

I'm still getting the withdrawal syndrome from this trip! Arghhh!
